Abstract

The article explores the relationship between the level of affiliation motivation, achievement motivation, and the components of interpersonal attraction in students. At the theoretical level, the article highlights the relevance of studying these phenomena in the professional and personal development of students. Affiliation motivation, achievement motivation, and interpersonal attraction have a significant impact on students’ behavior, including their socialization processes, academic performance, and professional success. Empirical research suggests that the predominant type of motivation among students is achievement motivation. The most pronounced component of interpersonal attraction is communicative attraction. A significant relationship was found between communicative attraction, the desire for acceptance, and the motivation to achieve success, as well as between activity attraction and the motivation to avoid failure. It was found that the higher the level of the communicative component of interpersonal attraction, the higher the level of motivation for affiliation and achievement.
