Personal leadership potential: state and prospects of research

The article is devoted to the study of the leadership potential of a personality and the prospects for its development in an organizational environment. Leadership potential is considered as an important factor in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of organizations. The main approaches to determining a person’s leadership potential and its role in managing organizations are analyzed. The key aspects of leadership potential, its components and activating factors are highlighted. The importance of developing leadership potential in organizations for their sustainable development and the formation of a culture of continuous learning is discussed. The issues of identifying the boundaries between potential and actual leadership are discussed, methods and strategies for developing leadership qualities are described. Promising areas of further research in this area are outlined.Agencies
